Can I use the My Aegon app if I am the partner, ex-partner or child of the person who has a pension scheme with Aegon Cappital?

No, only the one who has a pension scheme with Aegon Cappital via their (former) employer can use the app.

Why don't I see all of my pensions with Aegon Cappital in the app?

The app only shows the investment pension of your current employer or the employer where you worked last.

It is possible that you are accruing other pensions with Aegon Cappital. See the pension planner for an overview of all of your pensions with Aegon Cappital.

The following pensions are not shown in the My Aegon app:

  • Garantpensioen (Guaranteed pension)
  • Net pension
  • Pensions with Aegon Cappital via other employers
  • Pensions that you are accruing elsewhere
  • AOW

I am newly employed, but I do not see my pension in the My Aegon app?

If you are newly employed at your employer, you haven't made any contributions to your pension fund with Aegon Cappital yet. That is why, during the first month of employment, you will not see a pension with Aegon Cappital in the app. As soon as your employer pays the first pension contribution for you, you will see this when you log in to "My pension at Aegon Cappital".

How safe is my personal data in the My Aegon app?

This is how we protect your personal data in the My Aegon app:

  • When you create or re-set your My Aegon account, we will always verify your identity. We do this by asking for additional information. This will ensure that your account is extra protected.
  • The app will automatically switch off when you stop using it for some time. You will then see the message: "Your session has expired. You have been automatically logged off for security purposes."
  • You always log in with your chosen pin number. You are the only person who knows this pin number. We do not communicate it to anyone else.
  • The app always retrieves your information via a secured connection (HTTPS/SSL). Aegon regularly renews the security certificates.
  • We encrypt all of the information in the My Aegon app. This ensures that outsiders cannot read, hack or decipher the information that we exchange with the app.

We never store your information on the app itself. Therefore, your information is also not stored on your smartphone or tablet. The information you see in the app is only displayed while you use the app. The app will automatically switch off when you stop using it for some time.
